Investigations Launched After Rock Climbing Takes the Life of a Man

 Any adventure sport is always fun. The adrenaline that gushes through the body is just impossible to resist. However, the excitement and risk involved can sometimes cost our lives.

There is an incident that has surfaced where a man loses his life during a rock climbing incident.

Recently, Rock park in Castle Rock revealed a tragic incident where a man lost his life after falling during a rock climbing adventure. The time when the emergency team reached for aiding the injured man, it was too late. He was already dead when the team found him.

The Castle Rock Park has already put a cautionary on their website, “The Rock has sheer walls that drop 50 feet or more, and falls have resulted in serious injuries and deaths. The climb down is more difficult than the climb up. Do not risk your life by depending on vegetation to stop a slip. Climbers can be held responsible if hiking outside the park’s hours of dusk to dawn if creating a dangerous condition such as kicking rocks off of the summit.”

Even after the precautionary statements, people still enjoy taking risks. There were attempts on climbing post safe hours and this incident also happened after the sunset. Witnesses stated that they saw a man fall just after the dusk. The state authorities are very minutely looking at every angle involving the death and the officials are yet to release the official statement of this mishap.

Free Solo turns horrific for a woman

A woman who was not using any safety equipment, fell from 500 feet right onto the ground, which led to her demise. Partially to be blamed on the technique, Free Solo as it removes all the safety parts from rock climbing.

It only allows a climbing chalk, a kind of equipment which is made from the same mineral from which the mountain has been derived.  Alex Honnold, one of the leading rock climbers uses these techniques and promotes it at a global level. Still, there is a question that lies. How safe is it to go on rock climbing without any safety equipment.

This recent demise of the man falling from the top of the rock at Castle Rock Park happened in the late evening according to witnesses. Investigation continues about clarifying the exact details of the demise and more information would be presented after all the details surface out.

Such incidents call for better safety protocols and limiting of risk-taking behavior among individuals. Momentary pleasures may end up taking lives and it’s not worth the risk.
