VIDEO: Eli Tomac Roars Back After Overcoming Achilles Injury Testing for Supercross and Is Eyeing Redemption at Anaheim 1, 2024

One of the biggest names in the American motocross and supercross circuit, Tomac has several achievements to his name and looks to add more feathers to his crown as he progresses. The rider was racing down the golden path of success when life pegged him back. 

After suffering a harrowing injury that kept him out of action for weeks, people were doubtful about Tomac’s return. However, just like a true champion, Eli Tomac is back on his feet and is raring to go.

Tomac tore his Achilles tendon during the 450 Main Event in Denver on May 6. Tomac was leading when he was forced to leave the race mid-way. This sudden injury made way for Chase Sexton to win the prestigious Monster Energy Supercross title that Tomac so dearly wanted. 

Now, six months after the unfortunate incident, Eli Tomac has bounced back like a champion. In fact, he is starting over from where he left off. Tomac is currently testing for Supercross! In a recently uploaded video on Instagram, Tomac was seen getting candid about his comeback. He stated that he spent a lot of time preparing for his races post-injury. 

Tomac said, “I’ve been on it probably four days now and before that I spent probably three and half weeks on the motocross track just building my base up. Now it’s the real deal, back on the Supercross track. I’m feeling great. I still feel like I’m ahead of where I anticipated. I don’t feel like I’m going to behind at all anymore.” Now, Tomac is all geared up for Anaheim 1, 2024. His inspiring comeback has made the fans fill the comment section with love.

The video shared by Yamaha Blu Cru captioned, @EliTomac checks in from his compound in Cortez, CO to give a quick update on his pre-season progress after getting back on the bike”, received almost 40k views at the time of reporting.
