Draymond Green has been in the firing line of many journalists since his abysmal Game 3 performance. The Boston Celtics overpowered the Golden State Warriors to gain a 2-1 series lead. All the big names stepped up and showed out in this game except one, Draymond Green. He was poor from the get-go and eventually fouled out of the game in the final quarter.

The Celtics had their star trio of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart to thank for the win. They became the first trio since 1984 to have 25 pts, 5 reb and 5 ast each in a Finals Game. The Splash Bros, Steph Curry?and Klay Thompson, combined for 56 points, but they found it difficult to get going in the 4th. Draymond Green was probably the worst performer of the night. He had 2 pts, 4 reb, and 3 ast and he fouled out with about 4 minutes remaining in the game.

Pistons Legend Calls out Green

Green is one of the best defenders in the league. He is a constant thorn in the opposition’s side with his hard-nosed style of basketball. He is also one of the premium trash talkers in the league. But he does have the tendency to overstep his boundary sometimes. His performance in Game 3 generated criticism from some legends and they didn’t hold back.

Isiah Thomas is one of the greatest guards to ever play the game. His Detroit Pistons team was well known for playing physical and sometimes dirty basketball. They were given the nickname ‘Bad Boys’ for a reason. Even though this style of play led them to win 2 championships, it was frowned upon by their contemporaries.

‘Zeke’ called out Draymond Green after Game 3. “Draymond Green does that in a grade school game, not in the NBA Finals,” said Thomas. He read Green’s stats on-air and criticized his play. A lot of past players have called Green out but getting called out by an NBA Finals MVP just shows how bad Green played.
