USA’s 200 meters favorite, Gabby Thomas has had a brilliant couple of weeks since her stunning US trials. She came first with a time of 21.61 seconds and became the second-fastest female sprinter ever in 200m. But she is also passionate about her studies and has majored in neurobiology from Harvard University. However, it wasn’t easy juggling between training and studies.

In a recent interview, Gabby Thomas revealed that she saw it hard to balance between her studies and running hence started having doubts over her track career during her Harvard days. It was after her study trip to Senegal that she was again focused on sprints. Gabby said: “For a while, it just wasn’t making me happy.”

Not only Gabby became the second female sprinter to go inside 21.70 seconds but she is also a Harvard graduate. As the pandemic delayed the Tokyo Olympics 2020, she instead did her master’s degree in public health from University of Texas. After her on-track career ends, the American sprinter is keen on making a mark in the healthcare business as well.
