This twitter post was like a job interview. Rafael Nadal was applying to be the 2015 Wimbledon Champion. As a result, he was asked about his strengths. He said that he can move well, he can concentrate well and that ‘sometimes he can be solid’.

As any tennis fan knows, Rafael Nadal is always solid while playing a tennis match but the modest Rafa did not say that. In the end, when he was asked why they should give him the job of the 2015 Wimbledon Champion he said, “You don’t have to.”

Clearly, Rafa is too modest to boast about himself even though he has achieved so much. This is why he has so many fans around the world who always come to see his matches. Unfortunately, they have not been able to see his matches as the coronavirus pandemic has suspended the ATP tour.

A lot of tennis fans might be wondering now – when will the ATP tour return? Unfortunately, there is no clear answer as the suspension of the tour has been extended not once but twice. If the situation with the virus does not get better soon, then it is likely we will not see any tennis this year.

This is something no tennis fan wants. This is something that Rafael Nadal certainly does not want. He wants to have the opportunity this year to equal Roger Federer’s record of 20 grand slams. If the situation with the virus improves, he will get that opportunity and if he’s lucky he will reach that goal.
