As we try and battle our way through this pandemic, we are all looking for new ways to keep ourselves entertained. Since the tennis Tour is off, the players are doing the same. They have been terrific in keeping the spirits of the tennis community intact by giving us a ton of different challenges. You’ve probably already seen the volleying challenge that Roger Federer kick-started a few days ago. Now, it is Andy Murray who has come up with a version of his own.

After a torrid couple of years, Andy Murray is starting to finally get back into shape to return to the professional circuit. We can only gander a guess, though, because until he actually takes to the courts, we cannot be sure. Despite being dragged through any athlete’s idea of hell, Murray has kept his chin up.

Personal issues aside, though, Andy has recognized the need to engage the fans in these times of distress. He took to Twitter to initiate a challenge he named “100-volley challenge.”

He was joined by his wife and staunch supporter, Kim. She hilariously chimes in saying she is using a kid’s racket, keeping it handy as an excuse in case she messed up.

Kim really had Andy on the run there a couple of times. She could easily have taken his head off with that last shot too. Maybe the two-time Olympic Gold Medalist needs to social distance himself from his wife too.

Felciano Lopez had a hilarious response to the video, and I have to say, I agree with the Spaniard.

Jokes apart, though, it is a nice challenge. And as Andy Murray says in his tweet, we would love to Roger and Mirka give it a go too. In fact, let’s hope we have a video of all members of the Big Four taking on the challenge in the next few days.

Rafael and Xisca Nadal and Novak and Jelena Djokovic better get to it quickly.

Although I would love to see the Djokovics winning this challenge, I think the Federers have an advantage, given Mirka is a former professional tennis player too. Let’s wait and watch how things unfold.
