The excitement of dreams coming true is beyond the description of words and an Italian fan, Daniela knows it best. Daniela went through an unbelievable experience when her desire to meet the tennis legend Roger Federer came true.
The Italian fan held a banner during the 2019 Mutua Madrid Open, where she asked Roger Federer to go to dinner with him. ‘I’ll cook’, it reads. The banner also tagged Barilla – an Italian multinational food company, which is endorsed by Roger Federer. Barilla then found her through twitter and invited her to take a cooking masterclass.

Daniela actually cooked for Federer as Barilla had invited the Swiss Maestro to meet her but she did not have any knowledge of it. Daniela explained that she had prepared the ‘tricolor’ dish for the occasion, that’s how she named it.

Barilla also made an advertisement of Daniela cooking food for her idol. In the ad, she said: “Hello, my name is Daniela and I have two great passions in life: tennis and Roger Federer.”
She continued, “When he plays, everything stops. I wanted to create something nice, you never know. So I invited him to dinner (at the Madrid Open).”
The Italian chef had no idea that a surprise was coming for her as she was ready to present the ‘tricolor’ dish in front of the audience. However, she was flabbergasted when Roger Federer came in and took her breath away. The 20-time Grand Slam champion said in Italian: “Hi Daniela, how are you?”

The two were also seen having dinner as Daniela shared her experience at the end of the video and thanked Barilla to make her dream come true. She concluded: “I believe that certain emotions cannot be explained. If they asked me, ‘Dani, what gift would you like?” I would have never expected such a great, amazing thing.”
Who remembers our #federerfansearch? It happened last May, in Spain. We found her and made her dream come true the day she was invited to cook for the master himself, @RogerFederer. #MastersofPasta pic.twitter.com/dITDMk8ie7
