McGregor lost his way in recent times by suffering defeats against Khabib Nurmagomedov and Floyd Mayweather. He was stripped of the belt because of inactivity, as he fought just thrice since winning the UFC Lightweight title in November 2016.

Conor McGregor continues to train during self-isolation

McGregor seems to not want inactivity ever affecting him again. He has taken Ireland’s quarantine instructions strictly and urged his followers to do the same. He has held Twitter contests and posted riddles on the site to engage with his fans. His training, however, has not been disrupted despite him observing self-isolation and socially distancing himself.

‘The Notorious’ one seems to be preparing himself for a potential fight against the winner of UFC 249’s Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson. While there are doubts over the status of the event, UFC President Dana White seems certain that the event will go ahead. He boldly suggested that holding the event will restore normalcy to the country.

The event still remains uncertain. However, McGregor is certainly in top shape despite not having a fight scheduled. If he maintains his discipline, one has to bet for his chances at regaining the Lightweight Championship.
