The last tournament before the US Open 2021 is underway and Diego Schwartzman took on Dan Evans in the opening round of the Cincinnati Open 2021. Although the Argentine ended up winning the match, the game was marked by a bitter incident that took place during it.

From the looks of it, Diego Schwartzman and Dan Evans had a dispute with each other. There was some disagreement between the two players and that led to an argument. Diego won the game and screamed out loud which got the British player agitated. Towards the end of the clip, Diego told Dan to “Sit down”

Diego Schwartzman makes peace eventually 

However, once the match ended, both players made peace, and it was a good display of sportsmanship. The match itself went the distance and the winner had to be decided in the third and final set. The Argentine won the match 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.

Reflecting on Schwartzman’s season so far, he began competing in Melbourne at the Australian Open but lost in the third round to Aslan Karatsev. Following that, he won the Argentina Open.

Later, at the French Open, he was having a brilliant run until he met Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinal who halted his journey. Next up for him was the Wimbledon Championships, in which he lost in the third round. The grass courts are not his preferred surface.

At the Canada Open, he lost in the fourth round to Roberto Bautista Agut. Currently, he is in Cincinnati and has won his opening round match. All eyes will be on him as he continues his search for the title.
