Out-of-form India wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik may not be on the selectors’ radar right now in the limited-overs format but the 34-year-old is doing wonders in the domestic circuit which might help him return in the national team.

Dinesh Karthik once again showed a glimpse of his brilliant glovework on Monday during the Deodhar Trophy final between India B and India C where he took a one-handed stunner.

While batting first, India B got off to a horrible start as the opener Ruturaj Gaikwad got out for a duck in the very first over and in the 9th over when the experienced campaigner Parthiv Patel got the edge by a delivery from Ishan Porel. It was seen Dinesh Karthik diving fully to his left to take an outstanding one-handed catch.

The ball was going towards the first slip but it wouldn’t have reached the fielder and because of that Karthik decided to grab it himself and successfully managed to hold the ball.

Fans started sharing the video on social media immediately and it became viral in no time. However, this can be an example of his great form and this might help him to get back in the national side in place of Rishabh Pant, who has been struggling currently with the bat as well as with his gloves.

Despite the early wickets, India B managed to put up a decent total of 283 for 7 in 50 overs thanks to Kedar Jadhav’s 94-ball 83 and 17-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal’s well-made 54. Lower-order contributions from Vijay Shankar (45) and Krishnappa Gowtham (35 not out) were also very crucial for the side.

Ishan Porel was the pick of the bowlers for India C as the right-arm fast bowler picked up 5 wickets while conceding 43 runs from his allotted 10 overs. On the other hand, Jalaj Saxena and Axar Patel managed a wicket each.
