WATCH: Gael Monfils, Elina Svitolina, Coco Gauff and Other Tennis Stars Confess Their Worst Habits

Tennis is a sport that requires a lot of commitment. Players like Gael Monfils, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga have made sacrifices and were forced to take harsh decisions in order to help them develop into professional athletes. However, in the end, they are all humans and do have their share of habits that do not blend with their professionalism. 

Recently, Gael Monfils along with Elina Svitolina, Coco Gauff, and the other star players on Tour revealed their bad habits. While stating their habits, the answers differed from player to player. So stated that they have many flaws and not just a few. There were a couple of players that revealed ‘procrastination’ as one of their worst habits.

Gael Monfils is poor in time management

As many players were answering, there were some naive ones too. Elina Svitolina said that she has a habit of eating on the bed, whereas Karolina Pliskova sleeps pretty late. She also confessed that she consumes a lot of Haribo and Beer. Monfils stated that he has a habit of arriving late. 

American players Coco Gauff and Francis Tiafoe stated procrastination. Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was in giggles when he said that he likes to have beer on the terrace. Iga Swiatek said that she is a messy individual and to make herself sound less guilty she joked it is not a habit but a lifestyle.

Coming on to tennis, players from the WTA and the ATP are busy preparing themselves for the final grass-court events in Mallorca, Bad Homburg, and Eastbourne before moving towards South West 19, London for the Wimbledon Championships 2021.

The Championships were canceled last year due to the ongoing war against the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the anticipation is higher as players enjoy performing at the prestigious and oldest Grand Slam tournament.

Superstars like Roger Federer, Serena Williams, and Novak Djokovic are expected to light up the atmosphere during the course of two weeks. It will be interesting to see how these top athletes from all over the globe compete for the title.
