Garbine Muguruza is clearly enjoying herself making these dance videos but I am sure she would like to do something else – play tennis. Sadly, that will not be possible as the WTA tour has been suspended. This begs the question – when is the WTA tour returning? Unfortunately, there is no clear answer.
The WTA has said that the tennis season will resume in June. However, this is assuming the coronavirus situation is contained by then. From the numbers, it doesn’t look like the situation will be contained by then.
Many measures have been taken to stop the spread of the virus but they don’t seem to be working. The number of cases is only rising and so are the number of deaths. Our only hope now is the new vaccine that has been developed and is undergoing trials.
