Needing a win to force Game 7, the Astros failed to make the start they needed to keep their hopes alive. In the top of the third inning, Jorge Soler, who won the World Series MVP after the game, smashed a monstrous three-run home run off Luis Garcia’s 83mph pitch to give the Braves an early 3-0 lead.
Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson added more salt to the Astros’ wounds in the top of the fifth inning. The 27-year-old smashed a 95mph pitch off Cristian Javier straight into the stands for a two-run home run to increase their lead. Shortly after, Freddie Freeman, who is yet to decide on his future with the Braves, drove Soler home with an RBI.

Now a free agent, rumors of him joining the New York Yankees grow stronger by the minute. Along with Correa, they could also lose players like Martin Maldonado and Justin Verlander, who are also free agents.
