One of the biggest highlights of the British Grand Prix was the titanic battle between Max Verstappen and Charles LeClerc. However there were plenty of other battles that entertained the fans during the race. In fact, the roaring crowds were able to witness the Mercedes duo, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, duking it out for the lead.

Bottas took the lead at the start and Hamilton tried to fight back, with the fans egging him on. At the Brooklands corner, Lewis Hamilton tried to send it around the outside of Bottas. Luckily, the Finn was able to hold him off, but at the behest of a proper racing line and went wide.

The 5-time World Champion took advantage and swept around the outside of Bottas at the Luffield corner. As soon as Lewis Hamilton was past, there was a massive roar in the grandstand.

As the warring Silver Arrows reached the old start-finish straight, Bottas tucked in behind his teammate. Then, he pulled out of the slipstream and managed to pass Hamilton, heading into Copse. The battle was so intense that everyone were on their feet as Bottas was ruthless in defence. Finally, it took a safety car and a lucky pitstop for Hamilton to leapfrog his partner and win.
