Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic has been in the best space in his career so far. After winning the first three Grand Slam events this season, the World No. 1 player is certain to carry his current form in the remainder of the season.

After winning the Wimbledon Championships 2021 final on Sunday, Djokovic gave his racquet to a small girl sitting in the crowds. He did not gift it right after his win but after the presentation had concluded.

A glimpse of Novak Djokovic’s racquet used in the Championships final 

Recently, the girl who was presented with the racquet was seen practicing on an indoor tennis court. In a short clip, her coach gives a glimpse of the prized possession and seemed in awe of the equipment that helped the Serb win his sixth Wimbledon Championships title.

The Serbian’s season  has been phenomenal. He began his journey in Melbourne, winning the Australian Open for a record ninth time. After that, he won the French Open in Paris, knocking out the 13-time champion Rafael Nadal in the semifinal.

Then came the Wimbledon Championships, and right from the beginning of the tournament, there never came an instance when one felt the Serbian player would be beaten. He has been in ruthless form and it doesn’t look like he’s going to stop anytime soon.

What next for Novak Djokovic? 

Although, now the focus shifts towards the Olympic Games prior to the US Series. While the announcement that fans will not be allowed to spectate the Games has put off some athletes, Djokovic is likely to still compete for his first singles Gold Medal. It’s no secret that the Serb is chasing history and has his eye on the Golden Slam.

Should he somehow fail to get his hands on the gold, Nole can still march on and win the Calendar Slam by lifting the US Open 2021. All in all, Djokovic is chasing history and has his mind set on becoming the greatest man to ever set foot on a tennis court.
