Players are beginning to settle at the Wimbledon Championships 2021 and there have been some fascinating scenes so far. There was an incident involving Australian star Nick Kyrgios, who was in his usual element of entertaining the crowds. The 26-year-old performed an interesting act, which caught the attention of the fans.

During his second-round match, Nick Kyrgios did the famous LeBron James celebration after hitting a passing shot by his opponent. The incident occurred during the first-set tiebreaker. The scores were leveled at 6-6 when Nick hit the forehand passing shot down the line.

Nick Kyrgios amuses the crowds

The Australian player got his legs up one at a time towards his chest and shot his hands down simultaneously. After that, he patted his chest thrice. The American basketball star, LeBron James, has been celebrating this way since his Miami Heat days.

Since then, LeBron has enjoyed success during the various phases of his career. He has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, the LA Lakers and has single-handedly carried those teams to glory. 

Meanwhile, Kyrgios has returned to tennis after four months. He played his first match against French tennis player Ugo Humbert. They played out an epic 5-setter and the Australian ace came on top after winning the final set 9-7.

The match had to be completed the following day due to curfew protocols since it had exceeded the allowed time. In the following round, Nick was up against Gianluca Mager and won the match comfortably as compared to the previous round in straight sets.

After winning the first couple of matches, Kyrgios will be up against Canadian star Felix Auger-Aliassime in the third round at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. The youngster has been in sensational form on the grass. It promises to be an exciting battle and it will be interesting to see who emerges on top of that contest.
