Tennis bad boy, Nick Kyrgios takes another dig at rival Rafael Nadal with an insolent Instagram post on Monday, a day after Nadal married his long-time girlfriend Xisca Perello.
Nick Kyrgios posted a video of him hitting a forehand directly at Nadal’s body during their second-round clash at the 2019 Wimbledon Championships in July. The Australian took a cheeky dig at Rafael Nadal with the caption reading “mood”.

Rafael Nadal and his long-time girlfriend Xisca Perello tied the knot on Saturday in front of over 350 guests at La Fortaleza in Mallorca and Kyrgios posted the video after the day of his wedding ceremony.
The incident took place during the heated clash between Rafael Nadal and Nick Kyrgios at the All England Lawn Tennis Club earlier this year. After 1-set all and 4-4 in the third set, Nadal came to the net on his service game when the Australian smashed a forehand at Nadal and also refused to apologize for the shot.
In his post-match press conference, Kyrgios said: “Why would I apologize? I mean, the dude has got how many Slams, how much money in the bank account? I think he can take a ball to the chest, bro.I’m not going to apologize to him at all.”
However, the 19-time Grand Slam champion was not bothered with Kyrgios’ tactics, but the Mallorcan suggested that the 24-year-old can be dangerous sometimes.
“I don’t say Nick does this stuff to bother the opponent, but it is true that sometimes he’s dangerous,” said Nadal. “When he hit the ball like this, it is dangerous. It’s not dangerous for me, it is dangerous for a line referee, dangerous for a crowd. When you hit the ball like this, you don’t know where the ball goes.”
Earlier, ATP had handed Nick Kyrgios a suspension of 16 weeks and an additional fine of $25,000 for his “aggravated behavior”.
However, the suspension will only be applied if he is involved in any further code of violations that results in a fine for verbal or physical abuse of the officials for the next six months.
