Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal has been one of the most inspirational players on the Tour. The manner in which he keeps on coming back after injuries, with an indomitable spirit, is breathtaking. 

Rafa lived a fairytale over the past couple of weeks, winning the Australian Open 2022 against all odds. A few months ago, Nadal was on crutches, and didn’t know if he would ever return to the biggest stage. Now, he’s the first man to reach 21 Grand Slam titles.

Rafael Nadal is one of the greatest fighters of all time 

He proved his doubters wrong like he has done time and again. He played a brilliant two weeks of tennis and won the title in Melbourne, which helped him become only the second men’s player to win every Grand Slam twice in the Open Era. 

Now that the tennis is over in Australia, Rafa has reached home in Mallorca and went straight to the practice courts at the Rafa Nadal Academy. In the clip, one can see the Spaniard engaging in some rallies on the hardcourt.

Tennis will soon shift to American soil

There is still some tennis to take place on the hardcourts before the Tour shifts onto the clay courts. The double sunshine in the United States of America will be taking place in March and April. The first two Masters 1000 events of the season take place at Indian Wells and Miami.

With the French Open being the next Grand Slam event of the season, fans can expect Nadal to be the favorite given his record on clay.
