World No. 1 Novak Djokovic recently revealed that he would not be seen in Sydney for the ATP Cup 2022. The 20-time Grand Slam winner was seen in his hometown of Belgrade, playing tennis with children on the streets.

There was a short clip posted on social media. where one can see Djokovic playing tennis on the streets of Belgrade. He was dressed in denim jeans and was wearing a huge black jacket. The weather was overcast as you could see the streets somewhat wet after a light shower.

Novak Djokovic is a classy guy

Over the years, Novak has been a pretty sporting character who loves to indulge in activities that would put a smile on the face of one and all. He is one of the few players who wears his heart on his sleeve.

Coming to tennis, Djokovic will not be representing Serbia for the ATP Cup 2022. Therefore, it will be interesting to see in the coming days if he issues a statement with regard to him defending his title at the Australian Open 2022.

If that is the case, he could join Federer and Williams in missing the first Grand Slam tournament of the season. Speaking of the other member of the big three, even Rafa seems doubtful about making it in time for the ATP Cup 2022 due to illness.

Nonetheless, one cannot hide from the remarkable season the Serbian star has had in 2021. He registered one of his most dominant seasons, winning the first three Grand Slam titles this season. In doing so, he is tied with rivals Roger and Rafa on 20 Slams each.
