The PlayStation 5 is set to launch in November. With just over one month remaining, Sony has started allowing hands-on experiences of the next-gen console. Recently, the company set up a hands-on station somewhere in Tokyo, where many were able to try out the console. Additionally, they also got the opportunity to play two games on the PS5 and experience the features of the console.

Apart from the hands-on experience, a lot of people got a closer look at the PlayStation 5. They could touch and feel the main unit as well as the DualShock controller, even if they couldn’t access the games.

Many even filmed and reported their experience. Although most of these videos are in Japanese, people can still watch the gameplay visible in the video. Additionally, they can use the auto-translated captions from YouTube to understand the videos.

The reviewer had access to two PS5 titles. The first one was called Astro’s Playroom. The game comes pre-installed with all PS5 consoles. It is an easy arcade-themed game to help players get used to the unique features of the new PS5 and the DualShock controller.

While the game acts as a tutorial for the PS5 features, it still is a complete game and fans can enjoy playing it while they are waiting for other games to finish downloading.

The other game was Godfall, which was the first game that Sony had announced for the PS5. The action-based RPG does justice to the PS5’s graphics as well as its high-performance capability.

While playing the games, users could experience the “Haptic Feedback” that conveys the in-game experience through the controller in the form of vibrations and adaptive triggers that realistically expresses button resistance according to the game situation. The all-new DualShock controller really takes the gaming experience to the next level.

He added that there are visible differences in the gaming experience between the PS4 and the PS5. Apart from the features that come along with the new controller, the new PS5’s reading speed is much better than the PS4. Therefore, players do not have to wait on the loading screen since the games and the console boots up lightning quick.

Another cool feature of the new PlayStation 5 are the really quiet fans. The fans of the PS4 were so loud that people could hear them even from the adjacent room. However, the PS5 fans aren’t audible at all, even in a completely silent room. This also means that even at a higher level of gaming, the PS5 would face less heating issues.

The main unit and the controller of the PS5 feel heavier compared to the PS4. However, one can easily attribute it to the extra hardware inside the next-gen console.

While the reviewer couldn’t access a lot of other features of the PS5, this is a basic gist of how gaming on the console will feel like. The console is currently available for pre-orders with the final launch on November 12 in the US, Canada, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand; and November 19 in the rest of the world.
