Sony has been hinting towards a PlayStation 5 UX reveal for a few days now. They announced the possible reveal by collaborating with Burger King. Now, the official PlayStation blog has released an official walkthrough where they take us through the new UX for the PlayStation 5. Before diving into the details, take a look at the official reveal below.

From the startup screen to the Accounts page, everything is new. Additionally, the start-up sound also feels a little more transcendent compared to the PlayStation 4 sound. But that is just the tip of the iceberg.

As soon as you log in to the account, you come across a completely different Control Center (homepage). This will feel new to look at if you have been using PlayStation 4 for a long time. Also, one of the most notable things was the lightning-fast boot time. Thanks to the PS5’s superfast SSD, the system boots up almost instantaneously.

These ‘cards’ allow you to resume games exactly where you left them, almost instantaneously. Apart from that, the console also enables users to browse in-game content, pictures you may have taken, and also read the latest news by the publishers you follow.

PlayStation 5 Activities feature

This is one of the most amazing features in any PlayStation console to date. Sony has left no stone unturned to ensure that players have an immersive experience. This feature lets you start your game at any specific checkpoint with ease. Along with that, it also showcases a tab of objectives in the game and how much time will it take to complete the same.

PlayStation Responds to Voice Chat Recording Message in Latest Firmware Update

The PlayStation 5 UX has also revolutionized the way players will use the party chat while playing the game. The system will now notify the user when a party member starts screen sharing. Additionally, players will also be able to see the live screen share in a picture-in-picture mode.

Online Multiplayer Gaming

The online multiplayer gaming experience on the PS5 is now a faster and smoother experience. The cards in the Control Centre make it easy to navigate to the desired games and the SSD speeds up the process of moving from one game to another. Furthermore, the party chat also shows if any of your friends’ matches are joinable and you can instantly join them from there.

The PlayStation 5 DualSense controller also includes a share button which allows users to capture high-quality screenshots and videos. The video also states that the PS5 is capable of capturing screenshots and videos in 4K resolution.

PlayStation 5 Homepage and Explore

This will be the page where users land after booting up the system. It showcases all the games, media, and other apps that the PS5 has. Additionally, there is also a new feature called Explore. On day 1, it will only be available in the US as it is still going through its testing phase.
