

The Laver Cup 2019 is all set to take place this weekend and the teams have already been drawn with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal making the headline of the third edition of the event.
Rafael Nadal, who missed the last edition of the three-day event will once again team up with Roger Federer for Team Europe to secure yet another trophy against the Team World.

After giving several cherishable moments to their fans in 2017, the two goliaths of the sport yet again shared a light moment at the 2019 Laver Cup launch event, with the Swiss star helping the Spaniard to fix his tie, while the latter was eating.

The players of Team Europe – Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Fabio Fognini, Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas were preparing for the launch when Roger Federer was seen helping Rafael Nadal to get dressed. The 20-time Grand Slam champion even praised his counterpart while suiting him up. Commending Rafael Nadal, Federer said, “You’re looking very sharp man”.

Earlier, Roger Federer also praised the 19-time Grand Slam champion for playing the Laver Cup despite getting just one week to recover following his run in New York. “Rafa could not be more pumped up for this event. He just won the US Open. It would have been too easy for him to say, ‘Look, I need a break’, but he instead said, ‘I will push all aside because I believe in the concept of Laver Cup and in you guys’.”

The 38-year-old further added, “He is a great team leader who only asks for a thing: putting hours in training sessions. In Prague, he got back to work at 6:00 AM.”

Team World and Team Europe consisting of six players each will compete against each other in a bid to secure the Laver Cup 2019, which is scheduled from September 20-22. Team Europe currently holds the trophy, winning both the previous editions of the competition so far.
