The 13-time Roland Garros champion Rafael Nadal is infamous for producing tennis of the highest caliber. The manner in which the Spaniard has dominated the courts over the years is simply outrageous. Over the years, Nadal has enjoyed a great amount of success on the clay courts.

The former world no.1 won his 20th grand slam this year at the French Open. This win allowed him to equal Roger Federer’s record of holding the highest number of grand slams in the men’s game.

Besides the 13 French Open titles, Rafa has won 4 titles at Flushing Meadows, 2 Wimbledon championships, and 1 Australian Open in his career so far.

Leaving the majors aside, Nadal has won 86 ATP titles in his journey as a tennis player. The Spaniard has also held the top spot in rankings for 209 weeks.

Over time, Rafa has produced such high octane tennis that often left fans bewildered. The quality of shots produced in matches by Nadal has always been sensational.

Time and again Rafael Nadal produces excellence

Now that the season has come to an end, the French Open champion has won the award for the best shot of the year 2020. During his Round of 16 match against Miomir Kecmanovic in Acapulco, Mexico.

Kecmanovic was serving 3-4 down in the second set, at deuce, when the moment took place. The Spaniard eventually went on to win the match 6-2 7-5. 

Speaking of Rafael Nadal, he has performed exceptionally this year. Along with winning the French Open, he also registered 1000 match wins during the Rolex Paris Masters this year.

However, during the ATP Finals in London, Nadal fell short in the semi-finals, losing to Daniil Medvedev. Recently, he confirmed his participation for the Australian Open 2021. It’ll be exciting to see the Spaniard perform down under.
