Former World No.1 and 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer is out of tennis action due to his knee surgery a few months ago. This is surely keeping him out of the tennis court but off the court, Federer has been firing aces, especially in singing.

Roger Federer is the Brand Ambassador of the Swiss telecommunication company Sunrise. And so in its new commercial for the company, Federer exercised his singing skills. He sang ‘With a Little Help from my Friends’, a song by the famous British rock band ‘The Beatles’.
In the commercial, Federer starts singing the song alone and as he moves ahead people join him and sing along with him. This isn’t the first time Federer has shown his singing skills.
Roger Federer and the ‘Backhand Boys’
In 2017, Roger Federer, Grigor Dimitrov, and Tommy Haas surprised every with their vocal nodes. At the Indian Wells that year, the trio sang together 80s classic ‘Hard to say I’m sorry’ by American group Chicago. This received a huge response from fans on social media and deemed singing as the second best thing Federer does apart from tennis.
The trio of Federer, Dimitrov, and Haas are now called the ‘Backhand boys’. In the future maybe, they will release a track of their own when they are happily retired.
Coming to Federer’s activities during the tennis hiatus, the Swiss master has been busy. First, he launched a new series of shoes with the Swiss sneaker brand ‘On’. Federer also appeared on many inspiring commercials for different brands, such as Mercedes-Benz and Nike.
Federer initiated a lovely gesture by meeting and sending two Italian girls to the Rafa Nadal Academy. The Italian girls became famous after a video of them playing tennis across the terrace of two buildings went viral.
On his tennis, like every year, there was a lot of speculation around the 20-time Grand Slam champion’s retirement. Federer during the lockdown has given a lot of interviews stating that he enjoys tennis and when his priorities change he will retire.
