The match between Lokomotive Moscow and FC Rostov in the Russian Premier League ended as a 1-2 win for Rustov. This wouldn’t have been possible without the heroics of Rostov defender, Dmitri Chistyakov, who pulled off two miraculous goal line saves in the injury time in a matter of seconds. Rowstov goalkeeper Yegor Baburin initially came out to meet the ball. But he immediately realised that it was a horrible misjudgement, when the attacker met the ball ahead of him. The ball, headed by the Moscow attacker seemed to be going into the net, when Baburin’s defender came to his rescue, running towards the goal and somehow managing to keep the ball in play with an outstretched leg.

If this was incredible, the next effort by the defender seemed a level above this. The ball that he managed to keep in, fell kindly for another attacker, Luka Dordevich to score with the goalkeeper nowhere in sight. The Moscow No. 22, who was inside the six yard box, felt all he had to do was touch the ball into the net. But Dmitri Chistyakov, who had prevented a goal hardly a few seconds earlier, incredibly managed to put his body just in front of the goal line, stopping the ball from getting in.

Eldor Shomurodov had scored two goals for Rostov on either side of half time. It was in the 81st minute that the home side sniffed a chance to get back into the game with a goal from Anton Miranchuk. The game was heading into a few nervy final minutes. It was in the injury time that the Lokomotiv Stadium witnessed dramatic scenes of the goal line saves by Chistyakov.

The game also saw Maciej Rybus of Moscow attempt an exceptional bicycle kick in the opening minutes, which Baburin managed to save.
