Tennis superstar Serena Williams is one of the most successful sporting personalities on planet earth. Over the years, she has achieved many accolades, on and off the tennis courts. She has mesmerized fans with her splendid performances and just by being the cheerful individual that she is.

Recently, Serena Williams appeared on The Beloved Show starring James Corden. In a short clip, she is seen backstage, engaging in a conversation with James, and asking him for his opinion on the outfit to wear. She picked a dress up but was turned down by Corden as he preferred the one she was already wearing.

Once Serena appeared on the main stage, she was greeted by a lot of warmth from the audience. She kept on waving towards the crowd and it took a while before she placed herself on the couch beside Corden. It went for longer than usual and had James wondering amusingly about the same.

Moving onto tennis, Williams began her season at the exhibition event in Adelaide, ‘A Day at the Drive’. During the event, she beat Japanese tennis sensation Naomi Osaka. Later, she featured at the Yarra Valley Classic but pulled out before her semifinal match due to a shoulder injury.

She then featured at the Australian Open but did not manage to go past the semifinal. Anything less than winning the title is considered a disappointment, such are her standards. She was scheduled to play in Miami but pulled out due to oral surgery.

The American star has not featured in any tennis tournament since then, although she does intend to compete at the French Open this year. Prior to that, she will be seen on the clay courts of Rome. She will play her first WTA 1000 event of the season at the Italian Open 2021.
