Besides everything, there’s always room for some fun in the sport. So check out the funniest moments of tennis in the year 2019.

The Serb Djokovic became the first man to win seven Australian Open titles. After creating the monumental record in Melbourne Novak Djokovic sent the press conference room into hysterics.

Novak Djokovic: Not too bad (said with an Italian accent).

“Cannot complain,” replied the journalist, before that Djokovic apologized with a smiley face.

Djokovic’s on and off the court histrionics have always won the hearts of tennis fans. Be it his amiable gestures with the ball kids or displaying a friendly attitude towards his opponents, Djokovic is cherished for the same.

2. “What happened in Monte Carlo Happened…” – Rafael Nadal

The rapid words from the Spaniard Rafael Nadal during the presser in Rome ended up creating a hilarious phrase in Rafa’s accent. Before coming to Rome Nadal dealt with a series of disappointments in Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Madrid as he lost the clay-court matches to Fabio Fognini, Dominic Thiem and Stefanos Tsitsipas, respectively.

It was his first appearance at Rome Masters without an ATP title. The ‘King of Clay’ rapidly expressed all his losses over the past few weeks in a breath and that turned out to be one of the funniest moments of tennis in 2019.

“What happened in Monte Carlo happened. And what happened in Barcelona happened. And what happened in Madrid happened. And here we are. We are in Rome,” Nadal said.

3. Nick Kyrgios and His ‘Hot Chick’ at Laver Cup 2019

Playing doubles tennis with the GOAT tennis player Rafael Nadal at Laver Cup 2019 the Greek lad Stefanos Tsitsipas was lost in communication and hand signals during their encounter against Nick Kyrgios and Jack Sock.

7. “Buongiorno Ubaldo!” Nadal Wakes Up a Tennis Journalist at Australian Open’s Presser

Such scenes do not really happen in tennis but on the day one of Australian Open 2019 tennis journalist Ubaldo Scanagatta was taking a nap during Nadal’s press conference. As Rafa spotted him sleeping the room burst with laughter and through giggles.

It was once again the journalist Ubaldo who engaged in a comic conversation with a ‘Big Three’ tennis player and it happens to be one of the funniest moments of tennis in 2019.

Journalist: I need your help this time because I saw Berrettini winning a tournament, semifinal in Halle.

Federer: I didn’t see you in Halle (smiling).

Journalist: I saw it.

Federer: You took the easy route and took the TV, in your bedroom, just relaxing (smiling).

Journalist: Correct, but still I saw it. This morning I wrote, I don’t believe that Berrettini can beat Federer, but he will not lose 6-1, 6-2, 6-2, which is exactly the score that came out. So, I’d like to know…

Federer: If you should change your job or not, is that the question? Think about it (laughter).
