This event has all the makings of what made us fall in love with skateboarding (and halfpipes) in the first place: a gathering of misfits creating their own techniques while having a deep sense of camaraderie and community,” posted the star skater.

The event turned out to be a chance where he could present his new move. He has been trying the move for some time now, but the motivation to make it official was absent.

Here was my contribution to the scene: a new trick that I have been testing for a few weeks but didn’t have the motivation to commit to… until I was surrounded by a brethren of vert loyalists. I call it The Madge but you can dissect it with combo names however you want,” says the Instagram post.

Before the game was launched, the company knew it would be successful. They tried to make a deal with Hawk.

And they called me right before the release and they said ‘we want to offer you a buyout of future royalties.’ I’d like.. they said ‘we would we want to buy you off for half a million dollars.’ At that time in my life, someone saying a half a million dollars sounded like a gazillion billion dollars,” Hawk said.

For each game, Hawk earns a certain amount from the company. Hawk earned approximately $1.4 billion from his own game “Pro Skater.” And his net worth has been significantly increasing since the video game franchise.
