Watch UFC Raleigh: Herbert Burns KO Nate Landwehr With a Devastating Knee in his UFC Debut

Herbert Burns looked incredible in his debut fight against Nate Landwehr at UFC Raleigh. The younger brother of UFC fighter Gilbert Burns, Herbert competed in his 12th MMA fight, and picked up his tenth victory when he knocked out Landwehr with a devastating knee. Burns sent a message across the featherweight division and will look to jump from here, going forward. Burns is an equally impressive fighter, and has a lethal submission game. Like his older brother Gilbert, who is currently enjoying a three fight win streak at the welterweight division, Herbert is also known for his submission skills. It was evident on the fight night, when Burns almost caught Landwehr in an anaconda choke for the victory. However, he knocked him out to get his hand raised.

Herbert Burns took on Nate Landwehr in the first fight according to the UFC Raleigh preliminary card. Both the fighters were incredible both on the feet and on the ground. However, Burns always looked like a more efficient striker. He was equally dominating on the ground. However, Landwehr had his moments.

After surviving a near perfect anaconda choke, Landwehr managed to get the fight back to the feet and presumed to pressure Burns. Interestingly, that’s where everything changed for the whole fight. Burns picked up an impressive victory via knee knockout. In the process, the 31 year old Herbert Burns also picked up his first win via knockout. Interestingly enough, Landwehr suffered his first KO defeat in 16 MMA fights.

What’s next ?

UFC will head to Houston for their next event. UFC 247 will take place inside Toyota Centre in Houston, United States. Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes will headline the main event for the UFC light heavyweight championship. The PPV will also host another title match in the main card. Valentina Shevchenko and Katlyn Chookagian will face each other in the co-main event of the evening for the UFC flyweight championship. UFC 247 will also feature heavyweight title contender Derrick Lewis taking on Ilir Litifi.
