The USA’s Women’s Basketball Team has made history today as they secured their seventh consecutive Olympic gold medal. Ever since 1996, Team USA has dominated the women’s category of basketball in the Olympics. They did not just win the gold medal in their sport. Theirs, along with the women’s volleyball team’s gold medal, ensured that the United States also finish above China and was first in the medal tally.

Team USA dominated Japan’s defense from the very beginning. They began aggressively and went 4-0 up in the first two minutes. From that point, they never looked back.
