Andy Murray made a stunning comeback as he recovered from two sets down against Yoshihito Nishioka in the first round of US Open 2020. The three-time Grand Slam Champion saved a match point in the 4th set and came back from a breakdown in the 5th set. He will play 15th seed Felix Auger Aliassime in the second round.

Felix Auger Aliassime praises Andy Murray

In his post-match press conference, Felix called him a ‘great champion’. He isn’t playing Andy Murray down, and rightly so. Felix won’t take the Brit lightly, even though Murray is returning from injuries.

“Yeah, well, of course, he’s a great champion. I’ll be expecting the best from him next match. I don’t want to put into my head or consider that because of the injuries or because of the surgeries he’s had, the comeback he’s made, that this puts me in an advantage or makes a difference on the outcome of the match,” Felix said.
