EA has confirmed that its much-awaited title: ‘Battlefield’ will get a holiday 2021 release. This comes as good news for the fans who had been waiting endlessly for an update.

Moreover, EA has also announced that they will share more details this coming spring. The title will roll out for the next-gen consoles, so it’s safe to assume that the fans might get an insight into the gameplay and new hardware mechanics.

Another reason this piece of news is exciting because it gives the fans a window of release. EA had spoken about a new title in the Battlefield franchise, but fell short of giving any detail on a date of release.

EA sheds more light on the development of Battlefield

The company has several titles under development, and it has kept everything under wraps. But the announcement of Battlefield is a sign that the process of sharing information with the fans has started. This could also be because the launch of the next-gen consoles is even closer now.

We’ve given them an extra year of development … to ensure that they can, in fact, build a true next-gen vision around that game.”

He concluded by saying, “We’ve brought in talent from across the industry who have really bolstered our belief and our confidence in our ability to launch that game next year, so lots more to come in the next couple of months.”
