The US Open 2019 semifinalist Matteo Berrettini, who is involved in a healthy relationship with Ajla Tomljanovic, explains how difficult it is dating a fellow tennis player.

Talking about his relationship with his Australian girlfriend Alja Tomljanovic, Berrettini said in an interview with Gazzetta: “We are two calm people, we share the passion for dogs and movies.”
Berrettini also revealed the difficulties that the couple faces while they play at the ATP Tour and WTA Tour respectively. He further added: “But we often have to be away from each other and it’s not easy to understand each other being from another side of the world. But how could you handle it when there were no video calls?”
The relationship between Matteo Berrettini and Ajla Tomljanovic came to light during the last US Open 2019 in September when the Croatian born Australian tennis player was seen in the Italian’s box. There were also some pictures around about the pair having fun in New York City during the fortnite of the US Open.
The 26-year-old Australian was earlier in relationship with her compatriot, Nick Kyrgios. The Australian couple dated each other for nearly two years before they split in July 2017.
Ajla Tomljanovic was recently seen with Matteo Berrettini during his recent run at Vienna Open 2019. Tomljanovic, who is training ahead of the Fed Cup final is also expected to give her full support to the 23-year-old Italian at the ATP World Tour Finals 2019 in the O2 Arena in London.
Berrettini is put with the defending runner-up Novak Djokovic, six-time champion Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem in the Bjorn Borg group at the next week’s ATP World Tour Finals.
