German tennis coach Sascha Bajin recently tweeted 2 things that sparked a lot of controversies. In his first tweet, he talked about discrimination based on color. And he also said that an issue like that is not there in Europe.

In the second tweet, he talked about how he could not believe that a police officer could take an innocent life. Here, he was referring to the incident in Minneapolis and he said that something like that would not have happened in Germany or Serbia.

Many people were furious when they saw these tweets. They asked Sascha to read some history to see the issues and incidents that were there in Europe. After seeing such comments, Sacha decided to respond.

After seeing many tweets attacking him, Sascha Bajin decided to clarify what he meant in those tweets. In his response, he wrote,

“Guys recent history. We speak about the police here not WW2. Two different things. We have a long way to go but learned from our mistakes that should never be forgotten.”

Like any argument, there are 2 sides. Many will support what Sascha said and many will be against him. But this is an argument that should not be happening right now because of the current situation with the coronavirus. It has been spreading rapidly and has suspended all sporting activity which includes tennis.

There is still no certain answer as to when the tennis season will return as the suspension was extended 4 times. It is currently scheduled to return in August but that might change depending on the situation with the virus. If the virus is not contained soon, we might not see any tennis this year.

Nobody wants that especially Sascha Bajin. He wants to see Dayana Yastremska who he is coaching to win some titles. And if possible, win 2 consecutive Slams like Naomi Osaka did when he was training her. And hopefully, she will.
