Tyron Woodley is all set to face Gilbert Burns in the upcoming UFC Event. The two will finally lock horns this week in Las Vegas. They have been calling each other out for a long time now.

However, the coronavirus soon took over the globe. Thus, the UFC couldn’t materialize the matchup. In fact, Woodley’s original return to the Octagon was with Leon Edwards. But the card at London was one of the first that the UFC canceled.

And that’s when the saga between Woodley and “Durinho” started. And the saga will witness its end in Las Vegas, as the two will battle it out in the Welterweight Main Event. Apparently, Woodley is very impressed with how the UFC is handling everything.

Within a few hours of reaching Vegas, Woodley spoke to Ariel Helwani about the event. He said,

“It’s just like some zombie apocalypse. You walk in there, and everybody has got on masks and gloves. The first they thing do is check your temperature. Before you can even go anywhere, they swab you and check your temperature, you know, the corona tests. It’s kind of refreshing that they’re taking these measures to ensure we’re safe. I think they’re doing everything they can. They have rented out the whole hotel. So, basically, we’re secluded.”

Well, that’s a great job at ensuring the fighters’ safety. True to his word, Dana White is ensuring that he does everything he can to make sure that these events go off smoothly.

But all this does not distract Woodley. He said that he has fought enough fights to not let anything distract him and that he will do what he’s there to do.

Carrying on with the interview, Woodley said,

“I’m just here to fight, man. I fought in situations where we didn’t even have a hotel room. Where we weren’t even getting paid. And we didn’t have dressing rooms, we didn’t have warm-up rooms. We just went out there and fought. We can’t just get so comfortable [with] all the bells and whistles. And all that accommodation. It’s really just a fight.”
