As we dive into June, we have quite a few things to look forward to. Even more so if you are an Animal Crossing New Horizons fan. The latest installment in the franchise is already the most successful one and for good reason. It has given us a much-needed escape our unusually drab lives this year.

With the new month, we are getting more than just new bugs and fish to catch. We’re also getting a new event in the form of the Wedding Season!

What is Animal Crossing Wedding Season?

The Wedding Season kicks-off on June 1 and will run until the end of the month. If you want to be part of it you can go and visit Harvey’s Island. There you can find the two love birds, Reese and Cyrus, celebrating their love and wedding anniversary. You can be a part of the celebrations by helping out with an anniversary photo session with the couple.

Every day you do take part in the activity, you’ll be rewarded with wedding-themed gifts and content. What’s more, you’ll also receive some Heart Crystals. This is a new type of currency using which you can buy wedding-themed items.

The first task is simple enough, help the couple relive their wedding through a photo ops. Do a good enough job and Reese will reward you with the new currency. Of course, we expect matters to get a bit more complex with each passing day. Although, as long as we don’t end up breaking them apart, it should be fine.

The Wedding Season is the last of the events in Animal Crossing that Nintendo has confirmed. Of course, we expect more events to follow after that, but as of now, there is no official word on it.
