There is no doubt about Karim Benzema being a great striker: a player who is two footed, who has an eye for the goal, is exceptional at headers and is incredibly creative. He is one of the best strikers of the modern era and Arsene Wenger knows that all too well.

Arsene Wenger has been looking to land Benzema for a long time and would love to get his third marquee player in recent years after the arrival of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez. Reports suggest that a bid of £40million has been submitted to the Madrid board.

Arsenal legend Thiery Henry said:

“I still think they (Arsenal) need four players to get closer to Chelsea,”

And the Gunners’ boss certainly believes that Benzema could be one of them.

Real Madrid would not sell Benzema unless they had an alternate. With Aguero and Llorente rumored to be arriving at the Spanish Capital , Benzema could soon be seen playing at the Emirates.
