Swiss tennis star Stan Wawrinka celebrates his 35th birthday today. With a career that has seen him win three grand slams and an Olympic medal, Stan will definitely go down as one of the greats of the ‘Big 3’ era.

However, his birthday meant that the star was showered with wishes by his fans and friends. The party-loving star was also live with his friend Benoite Paire. Like always, the two provided loads of entertainment to their devoted fans.

Interestingly, the best birthday wish came from a special friend of Stan Wawrinka. We are talking about French tennis star Gael Monfils. Let’s find out how Monfils wished his friend via a Twitter video.

How did Gael Monfils wish Stan Wawrinka?

Monfils had a special message for Wawrinka alluding to the age of the two performers.

“Happy Birthday, Stan the man. We are not getting old. We’re like wine, we’re getting better with time. Happy Birthday Brother, again.”

Notably, Monfils is also 33 years old (will turn 34 this year). However, we can’t agree more with the Frenchman. The two tennis stars are actually playing some very good tennis at the fag end of their careers.

Wawrinka was on a mini resurgence wave has he made it to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. In fact, he stunned top 5 player Daniil Medvedev along the way.

However, Monfils took Novak to the limit. Arguably, that was the only match where Novak has looked vulnerable in 2020 with the exception of the Australian Open 2020 finals against Dominic Thiem.

We hope that both stars continue to perform brillianrtly whenever the tennis season resumes.
