We are just a week away from the latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons winter update, although Nintendo has divulged no information as of now. However, fans could uncover hints and secrets by digging into the data of the previous update. It housed unused codes linking to the features like villager visits and ceiling furniture items that are not a part of the game as of now.

So, it is safe to assume that Nintendo is preparing to add them in the upcoming winter update 1.6, as we all prepare for the festive season.

What to expect from Animal Crossing: New Horizons’s Winter Update?

So far, Nintendo is playing this one really close to the chest, as nothing has been revealed regarding the future of the game aside from the two characters: Franklin, the turkey, and Jingles the reindeer. This only leaves us to speculate and wonder about what the update is going to look like. We can also hope that Nintendo finally adds some aspects that fans have been asking for quite some time.

Fans have been clamoring for a feature that would allow them to terraform their island since the size of the island cannot change. The ability to revamp the island in whichever way they deem fit would be a welcome feature for players. Moreover, the game does not allow players to construct many buildings on the island,  and it would be a good way to keep things interesting.

More multiplayer content

There is really not much you can do in terms of multiplayer content. The community would love to have more of the dedicated events or activities that they could enjoy virtually with their friends, especially given the dangers of venturing out into the physical world at the moment.

New furniture and ceiling items

While the game allows players to renovate their houses, they cannot do so with the ceiling. Despite the constant chatter about wanting the feature, Nintendo has not added it just yet. However, data-mining the previous update has uncovered several codes that could go live in the next update. Allowing the fans to renovate their house in its entirety with new furniture and items would certainly be widely appreciated.

Teleportation

Some mechanism to allow teleportation to a specific part of the island would make the game so much more intuitive and fun for everyone involved. As observed in many games before, teleportation only makes games more fun, allowing the players to collect the resources much quicker.

Brewster is a fan-favorite pigeon character that sells hot coffee out of his shop known as The Roost. Since the release of New Horizons, fans have been begging Nintendo to add him to the game, as the coffee season is fast approaching, along with an update is in the works.

Fans can only wonder if they will get to see their favorite coffee shop owner making a debut in the update, offering hot coffee and cocoa to the island’s inhabitants.
