A dream transformed into reality by a young boy from Baltimore, Maryland. The world might only care about those 23 Olympic gold medals he won, but an important part of his journey was the beginning.

Michael was 7-year-old when he started swimming and after a couple of years, he was beating everyone in his age group. Under the guidance of his coach Bob Bowman, he made his way into US national B team at 14. While in the year 2000, he became the youngest ever American swimmer to make it to the Olympics, and the rest is history.
