At a Strikeforce event in California in April 2011, the main event featured a fight between Nick Diaz and Paul Daley.

Like many other fights, trash talks and threats preluded the Strikeforce fight. Once inside the bout, the duo started on a high. In just five minutes, both the fighters had their moments.

Coming into the fight with a nine-game winning streak behind him, Diaz had to fight for survival. Daley initially had Diaz down for well over 10 seconds but couldn’t capitalize. Daley once again had his opponent down and gave him a hammer fist. However, Diaz managed to survive and eventually knocked out Daley with three seconds to go for the five-minute mark.
