Swiss tennis ace Roger Federer has been one of the most successful players in the modern era. He was the first male singles player to reach the milestone of winning 20 Grand Slam titles. Over the years, he has impressed and won the hearts of many fans from all over the globe.
Recently, Roger Federer announced that he would be missing the US Open and has ended his tennis for the current season. He did reveal that he would be out of action for several months and in fact, be on crutches for a few weeks too.
Roger Federer has been through troubles physically lately

As a fan, it’s sad to see the Swiss ace go through all the sufferings he has gone through of late. For a player who has not dealt with injuries during the prime of his career, to see him pass through this phase is quite disheartening.
Since Federer stated he would be out of action for several months, we can expect to see him at the Australian Open next year. However, if he still doesn’t return till then, we can expect to see him come back later on in the season, during the US double sunshine.

The Swiss ace could play limited tournaments in the upcoming season. To bounce back after multiple knee surgeries at the age of 40 is not everyone’s cup of tea. But we’ve all been witness to Roger Federer’s greatness and have seen him beat the odds and come out on top.

Speaking of this season, Federer missed the Australian Open and played the French Open. In Paris, he withdrew before his fourth-round match and was then seen at the Wimbledon Championships. He lost in the quarterfinal and that result was below his usual standards. We hope to see him back on Tour soon.
