Where to Catch the Wimbledon Championships 2019 Tournament

The Wimbledon Championships 2019 is just around the corner and a number of tennis stars will travel to the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London. The Championships will commence with the qualifiers on June 24, followed by the actual tournament on July 1st. Prior to all that, the Wimbledon Championships 2019 draw is set to take place on the 30th June. Finally, the iconic tournament concludes on July 14th, a fortnight later.

Reigning World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and World No. 6 Angelique Kerber head into the tournament as defending champions. After suffering a defeat at the hands of Dominic Thiem in the Roland Garros 2019 semi-final, Djokovic is on a mission. Meanwhile, on the Women’s front, Angelique Kerber suffered a first round defeat at Roland Garros. The German will also be eager for redemption at the Wimbledon Championships 2019?

Coming back to the Wimbledon Championships 2019 it is estimated that around 2,500 broadcasters will work in the Broadcast Centre. In addition to that, 18 courts will have live television coverage, which is more than any other Grand Slam.

The good news for the fans is that, the Club strives to place at least part of the Wimbledon Championships 2019 on national, free-to-air television. Also, international broadcasters have been approached on a country-to-country basis. These meetings determined moves to satisfy cable, satellite, and terrestrial broadcasters. Back in 2018,  the Wimbledon Broadcast Services was introduced as the AELTC’s new host broadcast operation. It provided multicamera coverage in all 18 courts, as well as net-cam coverage on Centre Court and the No.1 Court.

In England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, BBC will provide full coverage of the Wimbledon Championships 2019. ESPN will be the official broadcaster in the United States and various Central and South American countries.

The Wimbledon Championships 2019 organisers have yet to release the official schedule. However, in 2018, most of the match days kicked off at around 9AM local time. So, taking that into consideration, it is assumed that that Wimbledon Championships TV schedule will run along the same lines, obviously taking into account their respective timezones.

Eurosport will telecast the batches in Belgium, Russia, Hungary, Sweden, Finland, Norway and several other East European nations. Fox Asia and Fox Sports will televise the Wimbledon Championships 2019 in China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Thailand and many Asian countries, and Australia respectively. STAR India will telecast in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and more.
