The Open Beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is out and many fans are enjoying their early hands-on with the game. In order to participate in the open beta, players need to have pre-ordered the game. The open beta started on October 6 and will continue until October 10 on PlayStation. But the open beta is not the only advantage players get for pre-ordering the game.

Activision has been motivating players to pre-order the game with many other interesting rewards. And one reward in particular that caught the attention of gamers was a new PlayStation-exclusive Operator.

Elodie “Lockpick” Micheaux: The PlayStation Exclusive Operator

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will feature a PlayStation-exclusive operator known as Elodie “Lockpick” Micheaux. This operator will be available only to PlayStation players who pre-order the game before November 9th. So far, not much is known about Lockpick besides what’s shown in the operator trailer.

Elodie “Lockpick” Micheaux demonstrates expertise in tasks such as cracking safes, showcasing her abilities as a skilled thief. She is also a formidable combatant, as demonstrated in the trailer, where she effortlessly takes on multiple opponents. The character comes with distinctive visual elements, including a high-tech skull mask, braided hair, and a blue camo suit, enhancing her unique persona.

In addition to the exclusive operator, players who pre-order on PlayStation will receive a blueprint for the American Gothic SMG. Extra rewards also include a special Starry knife blueprint that aligns with Elodie’s thematic design. The exclusive content, including the operator and associated items, will remain exclusive to PlayStation until November 9th, 2024. This does provide PlayStation players with an early advantage for having the extra operator.

This operator is currently a PlayStation exclusive and players playing on the Xbox or Windows PC will not have access to Lockpick. But is the pre-order worth it?

What else can players expect upon pre-ordering the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?

Pre-ordering Modern Warfare 3 will give players early access to the open beta program. There are two versions of the game that players can pre-order. The Vault Edition and the Standard Cross Gen Edition. Players going for either of the editions will get early access to the campaign modes of the game. Along with access, players will receive a Zombie Ghost Operator Skin.

How to Unlock the PlayStation Operator Lockpick for Free in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?

Some rewards are specific to the Vault edition. These rewards include the Soul Harvester Tracer Weapon Blueprint. Players will also receive the Nemesis Operator Pack along with 2 weapon vaults. The Vault edition will also give players access to BlackCell (1 Season) with 30 Additional Tier Skips. While these rewards are not platform-specific. PlayStation pre-orders will receive the Lockpick Operator Pack along with the above bonuses.

While the story of Elodie Micheaux still remains a mystery, players will have to wait for the release of the game to learn more. Meanwhile, players are gearing up for the launch of Modern Warfare 3 and all the exciting content it promises.
