There’s a new budding superstar in the welterweight division, and no, it’s not Khamzat Chimaev. While he might be great in his own manner, Belal Muhammad is the guy you need to know of.

He is squaring up against Leon Edwards for a fight this Saturday. Edwards hasn’t lost a fight in three years and is the number three guy in the welterweight rankings. If this isn’t a step up, then nothing is.

Belal, who also goes by his nickname, ‘Remember the Name,’ has been winning under the radar for a while now. It’s definitely too long for his liking. He has an amazing record of 18-3, and his three losses came against Alan Jouban, Vicente Luque, and Geoff Neal.

All three of them were at their prime when they fought Belal, and since then, he has consistently cleaned up the bottom half of the welterweight division.

His last fight was against Dhiego Lima at UFC 258. He outboxed Lima for three whole rounds and earned a convincing unanimous decision win. This win took his win-streak to four, and he, too, hasn’t lost a fight since 2017.

Belal Muhammad and the best Twitter feed in the game

If all of this is not reason enough to turn your heads, just look at his Twitter. He is one of the funniest guys out there.
