Recently, Eugenie Bouchard was left gutted when she received an email from the Wimbledon Championships 2021. Amusingly, she was asked to call up in advance to schedule her practice session as it was raining at the start of today’s play. On the funny side of things, the Canadian player has been rehabilitating at home in Canada.
Bouchard went onto Twitter and stated, “Why did I just get this email missing Wimbledon so much!!” On seeing that tweet, one can sense the disappointment in the Canadian player. In 2014, she was the finalist at this venue.

Speaking about her injury, she had to undergo arthroscopic surgery and has been improving with each day passing by. She even vacationed in Miami and New York. However, she needs to rest her shoulder in order to compete at the highest level. She will target a return in the events prior to the US Open 2021.
Reflecting on Bouchard’s season so far, she started her 2021 season at the Australian Open but collapsed to Yuan Yue in straight sets in the second qualifying round match.
