The Joe Rogan Experience podcast featured former UFC fighter, Brendan Schaub. In this episode the duo discussed the coronavirus and later, they moved onto Anthony Smith’s home invasion. The incident took place in the early hours of the 6th of April. A man trespassed onto his property and broke into his house. Smith, who fought the man, described it as “one of the toughest fights” he has ever had.

Joe Rogan discusses Anthony Smith’s fight with a burglar

“Anthony Smith is one of the baddest motherf****** walking the earth. He (the intruder) was smaller than him. The guy was a hundred and seventy pounds and he took everything he could throw at him,” said Rogan, who had Marc Raimondi’s article open in front of him.

Rogan and Schaub then spoke about ‘Lionheart’ as a fighter in the Octagon.

“I think after he fought Jon Jones he got the rub and looked fantastic. I like Smith a lot. He’s a very intelligent dude. He’s got a future in fighting,” said Rogan.

Schaub even praised Smith’s analytical skills and said he has a future there. Likewise, he praised ‘Lionheart’ for being a fighter and choosing to continue after taking an illegal knee from ‘Bones’ in the fourth round at UFC 235.

“I think Jones hit him and they go do you want to continue fighting. He would have won the fight, he was that’s not my style, he wants to continue the fight. He’s a bada** man,” said Schaub.

‘Lionheart’ returned to the Octagon 3 months after his unanimous decision loss to ‘Bones’ and beat Alexander Gustafsson by rear-naked choke in the fourth round. He was supposed to fight Glover Teixeira at UFC Fight Night 173. However, the event is postponed after ESPN executives asked Dana White to stand down and not hold UFC events at the Tachi Palace Casino Resort.
