Why Eugenie Bouchard’s Halloween Costume Is Blistering the Social Media

Halloween is here! And so are the spooky, fun, and crazy costumes. It is a day for kids to go trick or treating, and for adults to invade social media. But this year, the place has been seized by one person only – Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard, as she knockouts everyone with her Halloween outfit.

The 26-year-old is the first tennis player from her country to make it to the Top 5. After her massive leap in the rankings, Bouchard’s career went straight down the hill. However, she is now on her way back to the top. Havi8ng once dropped out of the Top 300, the Canadian player is currently 140 in the world.

Bouchard is frequently active on social media, and she has never let down her 2.1 million followers.  Although, after her Halloween avatar this year, she might have gained a few more. With her Mileena suit on, the Canadian has surely caused many to stop and admire her image.

Mileena is a character from the famous Mortal Kombat franchise who is known for her strength and deadly sharp teeth. Funnily, Bouchard is sighted hiding her teeth with a matching safety mask.

Considering her Halloween expertise, the two time Grand Slam finalist will indeed be on the Top 10 list for best outfits. Along with that, the caption ‘who wants to play’ is surely the tease of the year.

Following that, Bouchard grew to success in 2014 as she reached the final in Wimbledon Championships (first finalist from Canada). She also made two Grand Slam semi-finals appearance at the Australian Open and French Open in the same year. Unfortunately, inconsistency and injuries took a toll on her and she fell hard.

In 2020, her steady growth cashed its price, as she was given a wild card entry to play at Roland-Garros. She reached the third round of the tournament where she succumbed to 19-year-old Iga Swiatek.  The Polish player Swiatek later went on to lift the French Open title.

Apart from her tennis-related achievements, Bouchard has won many hearts with her Halloween costume this year.
