Will Nintendo Showcase the New Nintendo Switch Pro at E3 2021?

In about a couple of weeks, the entire landscape of the gaming world might change, as the industry’s most popular event, E3, arrives for the 26th time. Developers and hardware manufacturers will showcase their new range of products, games, and many more to the delight of fans around the world. Fans already know about some of the companies that will make their presence felt in E3 2021, which includes Sony, Xbox, and also Nintendo.

The Japanese developer announced their plans for the event yesterday by revealing an exclusive E3 2021 Nintendo Direct on June 15. The Direct will contain a lot of news regarding the games that will release soon. But along with that, they might also showcase a new console in the Nintendo Switch Pro.

Is Nintendo announcing the Switch Pro in E3 2021?

The Japanese manufacturer revolutionized the portable console market when it released the Nintendo Switch in 2017. With titles like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing New Horizons, fans received some amazing experiences with it. But four years later, the hardware is holding back studios from improving their franchises, and it’s probably the right time to introduce a new console.

For weeks, fans have been hearing rumors about a new console for Nintendo. The model is rumored to be called the Nintendo Switch Pro. It’s considered as the replacement for the current console because of its massive spec bump. A lot of leaks have already showcased some of the hardware details of the Switch Pro, and because of this, fans feel like it might come sooner than expected. With the Direct taking place on June 15, it seems to be the perfect time for Nintendo to announce their latest product because of the event’s massive scale.

Can it arrive earlier?

Along with that, Centro LEAKS, a popular Pokemon rumor website, recently shared some interesting new leaks. The Twitter account posted some screenshots regarding a Nintendo hardware listing on Amazon that goes live on June 4. So it’s very likely that the Switch Pro might be revealed even before the E3 2021 Direct.

Other rumors regarding the console usually revolve around the console’s spec sheet. This includes details of the console having an OLED screen and a faster Nvidia Corp. graphics silicon. But recently, a listing on the French retailer Boulanger also surfaced online. The listing showcased the price of the console to be €399 or around $490. It’s a significant price bump from the Nintendo Switch which currently costs $299.

It will be interesting to see the response from fans for the Nintendo Switch Pro. They have been clamoring for a new one for months, and with some games to go with it, the Japanese developer might just hit a home run with it.
