Watch that serve go past for an ace as the biggest hitters of the game take guard on the holly grass of Wimbledon. Apart from the usual favorites – Djokovic, Federer, Murray and Nadal (even though he’s seeded tenth, you can never rule him out) and not to forget Stanislas Wawrinka, who has earned his place in company of these greats – there are some players who can emerge as surprise winners. Something what Marin Cilic did last year at Flushing Meadows! So who all can spoil the journey of the top guns?

The no. 11 seed, sometimes also called as the ‘Baby Fed’ due to his similar playing style like the great Federer, will be one who can go deep into the second week, despite his latest troubles on court. Making it to the semis last year, beating Andy Murray en-route and stretching Novak Djokovic to almost pull off another upset, Dimitrov can produce some solid tennis when needed, and could very well trouble the best.

The 6’5” Canadian, seeded seventh, undoubtedly, one of the biggest servers today and he knows it too. “My serve takes me a long way. If you look at results, numbers besides names, then my serve has carried me a pretty long way.” Raonic hit 164 bamboozling aces last year to power his way into the semis, before going down to Roger Federer – the one with a searing return. Raonic’s latest win over Nadal at Indian Wells was an incredible show of talent and composure and he very well beat anyone on his day.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga

The French powerhouse Tsonga, one of the few to beat Federer at Wimbledon, should pose serious questions to the big guns in the second round. He has been drawn to meet Murray in the 4th round and is capable of staging an upset on any day with his big serves and fierce baseline shots.

Kei Nishikori

This Japanese has done wonders to his career lately. After a runner-up performance at USO and consistently doing well on the circuit, this fifth seed is the most dangerous opponent for the top players. He took down Novak in the USO last year and has defeated Federer too. He has an incredible all-round game and can be tipped as one of the dark horses ahead of Monday.
